Black Xhosa community with very little white families. In fact there is only one. Melvina, from France, her South African husband and their wild daughter who is learning French, Xhosa and English.

This little family run the Kraal, a guesthouse candlelit. No electricity here except to charge the cell phone.
JOHANNESBURG
He grew up in Soweto, multicultural environmment and learned English, Zulu, Xhosa and many more African languages on block like this one.
Family man. A wife, two kids. Like many who made it, he decided to move out to a quieter neighbourhood. What will the impact be on his kids? Will they speak as many languages growing far from melting pot Soweto?

The Hector Peterson Museum. very well curated and instructive. In memory of a protesting school kid that was shoot to death in the 60s.
He also took me to Pretoria to see a friend's father (Michelle). We strongly encourages him to try backpacking or at least independent travelling.
